Banked resets, explained.
How to tell a saved reset from an automatic refresh — and what to check before using one.
Saved for you to use
An automatic reset applies to eligible limits directly. A banked reset is saved until you redeem it or it expires. Check the expiration and eligible windows shown in your account before confirming.
Find the available reset
In Codex, open Settings → Usage and look for an available-reset entry. Review the details there. After redemption, check the updated usage and reset time. Eligibility and delivery depend on the particular offer.
How we label the announcements
NextReset uses four labels: usage reset, banked credit, reset plus credit, and compensation. A single announcement can contain both an immediate refresh and a saved credit, but it still counts as one announcement in our statistics. A replacement for a failed redemption is labeled compensation, so it does not displace the latest broad reset.
